💳 Payment Plan Updates
If you were on a payment plan, your final payment was processed on September 21st. You should now be able to access and complete your BackerKit surveys.

🃏 Production Updates
Printing for The Hundred-Acre Arcana decks has officially finished, and we’re preparing for sea freight shipment to the U.S. soon.
Because our printer needed to order more 330 GSM black-core paper to match the original Steamboat Arcana deck, the Expansion Pack will now print alongside The Skeleton Dance Arcana.
This ensures both decks have the same premium quality and consistency that collectors expect.

We wanted to give you a quick update on production and share some exciting news!
🪄 Expansion Pack Printing Update
Printing for the Steamboat Arcana Expansion Pack will begin after October 15th, as our printer finishes the current batch of decks.
They’ve also ordered more 330 GSM blackcore card stock — the same high-quality material used for the original Steamboat Arcana 1928 decks — so the Expansion cards will perfectly match in feel, thickness, and shuffle quality. 🃏✨
Once the new stock arrives, printing will move directly into production and assembly. We’ll share photos and updates as soon as the presses start rolling!

While the Expansion Pack is being prepared, our newest deck — 🎃💀 The Skeleton Dance Arcana Tarot Deck 💀🎶 — has just launched on Kickstarter!
It’s a Mickey Mouse–era Halloween tarot deck inspired by The Skeleton Dance (1929) and The Haunted House — where skeletons and spirits come alive under the moonlight. 🌙👻

Hi everyone,
We’ve got a few important updates for you today — including Expansion Pack clarifications, printing progress, order lock & charge dates, and a look ahead to what’s next.
🃏 Expansion Pack Clarification
We’ve had a few questions about how the Expansion Pack appears in BackerKit, so here’s the simple version:
If you pledged at the $1 Mailing List tier, your $1 already covers the Expansion Pack. BackerKit then adds $9 for shipping, so your total is $9.
If you accidentally add the Expansion Pack as an add-on again, it will look like $9 plus $9 shipping. You don’t need to do this — just leave the add-on out, and your balance will show correctly at checkout.
For all other pledge tiers, the Expansion Pack is simply a $9 add-on with no extra shipping.
If you ordered Mini Decks during the original 2024 Kickstarter, please reach out. I’ll edit your survey so you’re moved out of the Expansion Pack tier (since those decks don’t need the Expansion). We'll try again in Spring of 2026 to fund the mini deck Expansion packs.
👉 No matter which tier you’re in, the Expansion Pack always comes to $9 total — just don’t add it twice!
The Expansion Pack includes both Steamboat Arcana 1928 and Gaucho’s Arcana 1928, Standard Size. Shipping is scheduled to begin in early 2026.
🏗️ Printing Progress
All Expansion Pack files have been delivered to the printer. They confirmed they’re ordering 330gsm black-core paper (to match the original decks) and expect the paper stock to arrive in October. Once it’s in, printing will begin right away.
Communication with the new printer has been excellent, and everything is on track.
📅 Order Lock & Charge Dates
To keep everything on schedule, here are the key dates:
Orders will lock on Sunday, September 29th
Cards will be charged on Thursday, October 3rd
This charge will appear as coming from Gladstone’s Comics.
If you need to update your survey or payment method, please do so before these dates.
📝 Pay Over Time Reminder
Some backers selected the Pay Over Time option. If that’s you, your pledge is divided into installments. You’ll be able to fill out your survey and finalize your order after your final payment processes on October 21st.
I’ll include a reference image of what this looks like here in the update so you can double-check your payment schedule.
📦 Shipping & Replacements
Almost all Kickstarter orders (for items purchased on the main page) have already gone out. Please check your email for shipping confirmations.
So far, we’ve received positive reports from backers — thank you!
If you receive a deck that’s damaged, we’re so sorry. Please take a photo of the damage and email it to [email protected]. We’ll send a replacement right away. We want you to be as happy as possible with your decks — we’re on the same side, and our goals are aligned.

We’re getting close to unlocking the lenticular cards stretch goal.

💀 Coming Soon: Skeleton Dance Arcana
We’re thrilled to announce our next project: The Skeleton Dance Arcana Tarot Deck, launching this October — just in time for spooky season!
This deck celebrates Disney’s The Skeleton Dance (1929) and The Haunted House (1930), fusing their eerie vintage charm into a full 78-card tarot deck.
Some backers have let us know they were unable to fill out their survey. In most cases, this is because the “Pay Over Time” option was selected. This option allows you to pay your pledge over about three months. Once all payments are completed, your pledge items will ship out.
If you’re still having trouble with your survey, please reach out and we’ll be happy to help.
We’ll also be reaching out this week to those backers who haven’t filled out their surveys yet, especially if you bought items on the main Kickstarter page that are already available and ready to ship. Other items—such as the Hundred-Acre Arcana and the Steamboat Arcana 1928 Expansion Pack—along with anything else added as BackerKit add-ons, will ship in early 2026.
📦 Shipping Updates
For the original Steamboat Arcana 1928 and Gaucho’s Arcana 1928 campaigns, we had the orders preboxed in China to speed things up.
Many orders shipped out last week, and some are already starting to arrive!
A number of these were mailed in padded envelopes. We caught this late in the process, and moving forward, all remaining orders will be boxed by our fulfillment company.
If you receive a deck that’s damaged, we’re so sorry. Please take a photo of the damaged box and email it to [email protected]. We’ll send a replacement order right away. We want you to be as happy as possible with your decks—we’re on the same side, and our goals are aligned.

🌍 International Backers
We recently messaged international backers to ask if they’d like to:
Wait until early 2026 to ship their Kickstarter items together with the Expansion Pack, or
Ship now and receive the Expansion Pack separately later.
We’ve heard back from one or two backers who prefer to wait, and we’ve added that note to their surveys. Since we haven’t heard back from the majority, we’ll begin shipping those orders on Wednesday (tomorrow).
✨ Lenticular Cards Stretch Goal
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re very close to unlocking our next stretch goal: Steamboat Arcana Lenticular Cards!
If we reach $4,000 in BackerKit add-ons, we’ll include two lenticular cards with every Expansion Pack.
We’re currently at around $3,200, which means we’re only about $800 away from unlocking this goal!
These cards are something we’ve been excited about for a long time, and we can’t wait to bring them to life.
