Hi everyone,
We’re excited to share that the BackerKit surveys for the Steamboat Arcana 1928 Expansion Pack are now live! 🎉 Please complete your survey as soon as possible so we can move into shipping and get your decks to you quickly.
🚢 Shipping Timeline
Kickstarter Items: Everything purchased directly on the Kickstarter page (Steamboat Arcana 1928 & Gaucho’s Arcana 1928 Standard Decks) will be mailed and delivered by the end of this month. Once those ship, we’ll officially mark this campaign as fulfilled.
BackerKit Add-Ons: Items added through BackerKit (Expansion Pack, Hundred-Acre Arcana, Mystic Honeypot Arcana) are scheduled to ship around January 2026.
The Expansion Pack Deck includes cards for both the Steamboat Arcana 1928 and Gaucho’s Arcana 1928. Only the standard decks were funded in this campaign—we may do something for the mini-decks next spring or as part of the stretch goals in another Kickstarter.
We’ve already finished and sent the Expansion Deck files to the printer, so production is underway.

Steamboat Arcana 1928 Expansion Pack – BackerKit Survey Update

Hi everyone,
For the Steamboat Arcana 1928 Expansion Pack, we’ve submitted everything to BackerKit and are now waiting on their review. Once approved, they’ll run a “smoke test” — meaning about 5% of backers will receive the survey first. This lets us make sure everything works smoothly before sending it out to everyone.
After that step, the full Expansion Pack survey will be released to all backers. We’re expecting this to happen sometime next week.
🚢 Shipping Plans
For those who ordered the Steamboat Arcana 1928 Decks or the Gaucho’s Arcana 1928 Decks, we’re hoping to begin shipping immediately once surveys are complete.
After Steamboat and Gaucho orders have shipped the Kickstarter will be marked as complete for the Kickstarter side of things while the Backerkit side will arrive around January 2026 for the Expansion decks.
The Expansion Pack deck will include cards for both Steamboat Arcana 1928 and Gaucho’s Arcana 1928.
The Expansion Packs will be available in BackerKit as add-ons and are scheduled to ship around January 2026. We’ve already finished and submitted all of the files, and the goal is to print them alongside the Hundred-Acre Arcana and Mystic Honeypot Arcana.
✨ Stretch Goals
We’ll also have a stretch goal in the survey stage that can be reached through add-on items. This will unlock 3D lenticular cards, which we’ll announce in more detail later.
⏳ Looking Ahead
We’re aiming to have Steamboat Arcana and the Gaucho’s Arcana decks sent out and received by late September, so that we’re ready to move forward with launching the Skeleton Dance Arcana campaign right after.

📋 What Happens Next
Payments are processing now. Once Kickstarter releases the funds, we’ll send out the BackerKit surveys.
In the survey, you’ll be able to add on the Expansion Pack for just $9 shipping.
You’ll also see other add-on options like The Hundred-Acre Arcana and The Mystic Honeypot Arcana, in case you missed those earlier.
📦 Shipping Timeline
Steamboat Arcana 1928 Decks and Gaucho’s Arcana 1928 Decks will start shipping immediately after surveys are completed. We're really proud of all of our decks and looking forward to getting them to you. ✨ ✨
Expansion Packs (via BackerKit): conservative estimate January 2026, likely sooner since expansion boxes are simpler to print.
🔮 Mini Decks & Future Plans
We didn’t reach the funding level for the Mini Deck expansions. We’ll likely revisit them in a future Kickstarter after The Hundred-Acre Arcana and The Mystic Honeypot Arcana are printed—expect more rewards and extras when we do.
✨ Lenticular Bonus Card
We teased a 3D lenticular card at the $14,000 stretch goal. While it didn’t unlock during the campaign, we’ll carry it forward as a BackerKit add-on stretch goal. We’re excited to try this new production process (hello, ’90s hologram nostalgia 😄).
